DALJIT MOOSAI
A Tribute to a Humble Servant
Mr. Daljit Moosai was a stalwart of the
El Dorado Community. He was always ready to offer genuine and financial support
to the needy and all those who sought his help. He always found himself in religious
activities in El Dorado. He also assisted, directly and indirectly, other communities in their religious
and social work. Mr. Daljit was truly a legend in his own right.
Profile of Mr. Daljit Moosai
1. Mr. Moosai was born on April 19th 1931. He grew up at St. Cecelia Street, El Dorado.
2. In 1956, he became the President
of Moosai’s Cricket Club.
3. In 1972, Mr. Moosai became the Manager
of the El Dorado Hindu School, which
became the
El Dorado South Hindu Primary School.
4. In 1974, he joined the Sanatan Dharma
Maha Sabha where he served as an
executive
member.
Mr. Moosai served as President of the
El Dorado Shiv Mandir. After serving, Paschim Kashi, the St. James Mandir in Port-of-Spain
for many years, he directed his attention homewards where he started the Sunday
Morning Service and had been actively involved in all religious and social work
at
the El Dorado Shiv Mandir until
his passing.
